Nathaniel Williams is Co-Founder and Partner of Metro Properties, and has over 30 years of experience in real estate investments and portfolio management. Since forming Metro Properties with Rodney Freeman in 1997, Mr. Williams has acted as a partner, manager and investor in over 20 real estate projects worth over $200 million. Mr. Williams directs the day to day operations of the company and in conjunction with Mr. Freeman formulates the long term investment strategy for the assets. Many of the real estate projects were value-add properties where the property was purchased with significant vacancy, deferred maintenance or other issues. Mr. Williams and his team formulate a plan to correct the deficiencies, reposition the asset and implement an aggressive leasing program to return the asset to a profitable position.
Prior to founding Metro Properties, from 1994 to 1997, Mr. Williams was Director of Asset Management for Summit Commercial where he worked on the acquisition, repositioning and disposition of 16 office and retail properties totaling approximately 3 million square feet. From 1984 to 1994, Mr. Williams help senior portfolio management and investment positions with Koll Investment Management, Karsten Realty Advisors and Glenfed Development.

Rodney Freeman is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Metro Properties. Mr. Freeman and Mr. Williams formulate the long term investment strategy for the assets.
Mr. Freeman is also the President and CEO of Freeman Group, Inc., which he founded in 1993. Freeman Group has emerged as one of the West Coast’s premiere construction management and consulting firms. Freeman Group provides owner representative services in Construction Management, Development Management and Building Evaluations.
Prior to forming Metro Properties and Freeman Group, Mr. Freeman spent over 18 years at Auerbach Construction, Inc., 10 of which he served as President and CEO, whereby he successfully guided Auerbach Construction into a multi-faceted building, development and construction management organization. Through his extensive construction/real estate expertise, Mr. Freeman has personally been involved in the construction of more than 500 projects valued at over $1 billion.
Mr. Freeman holds an active California Sate Constructor License. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association and his extensively involved in community and charitable projects in the Jewish community.Education
Claudia Salazar serves as the Director of Asset Management for Metro Properties. Ms. Salazar joined Metro Properties in 1998 as an intern while attending UCLA as a fulltime undergraduate student. As Asset Manager, her responsibilities include day-to-day asset management, property management supervision, leasing and lender and investor relations. Tenant retention and cost containment are her primary charges. Other responsibilities include the formulation and implementation of acquisition business plans, coordinating acquisition due diligence and producing leasing assumptions, operating and capital budgets for each property and performing the quarterly investor reports.
Ms. Salazar has been personally involved with the acquisition/disposition of over $200 million worth of assets and has played an integral role in the negotiation of leases valued at over $150 million in a portfolio of approximately 1 million square feet.
Ms. Salazar holds an active California Real Estate License and is a California Notary Public. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Inc. (ICSC).Education:
Angela Lee specializes in the Property Management division for Metro Properties. Miss Lee joined Metro Properties in October 2013. As Property Manager, Miss Lee is responsible for the oversight of operations for Metro Properties’ entire portfolio, tenant and vendor relations, expense containment/reduction, the supervision of the out of state property managers, the management of tenant improvements, monthly property management reports, utility reconciliations and annual budgeting for the properties.
Prior to joining Metro Properties, Miss Lee worked as Property Manager for Ezralow Company, where she managed industrial business parks with approximately 200 tenants. Miss Lee’s experience also includes managing office, retail and industrial properties. She prides herself on fast responsiveness, high tenant retention and successful cost cutting strategies.

Jeff Strickland heads the construction management department for Metro Properties. Mr. Strickland has been with Metro Properties and Freeman Group since January 1999. As Construction Manager, Mr. Strickland’s responsibilities include construction management for extensive tenant improvements, property condition reports for new acquisitions, quarterly property condition reports for the existing portfolio and capital improvement strategies.
Mr. Strickland brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has been involved with a wide variety of construction projects, including commercial office buildings, hotels, retail properties, industrial buildings, educational facilities and a variety of residential and mixed use projects. Mr. Strickland has a keen eye for deficiencies, having inspected various types of buildings totaling more than 40 million square feet.
Mr. Strickland holds a current California Contractors License and a California Real Estate License. He is also certified with the International Code Council as a Building Inspector.Favorite Pastime:

Kerry Mills joined Metro Properties in June 2014. She has been serving as the Administrative Assistant and Assistant Property Manager. Her charges include, providing administrative support to all the executives at Metro Properties and ensuring that the office runs efficiently. As assistant property manager she is responsible for aiding in the oversight of operations for Metro Properties’ tenant and vendor relations, and assisting with the supervision of the out of state property managers.
Prior to joining Metro Properties, Mrs. Mills worked in Commercial Real Estate as the assistant to the president and founder of the company. Her outgoing personality and ability to absorb and multi-task have enabled her to efficiently tackle every day duties and provide a consistent back up to the executives.Education:
